Projekt "Szymon Laks in Memoriam"
Between the anniversaries of the birth (1.11) and death (11.12) of Szymon Laks, there will be concerts with a lecture on his life and work performed by the Sosnowska-Garcias Duo. Polish composer of Jewish descent Szymon Laks is an amazing figure who survived the Auschwitz concentration camp through music. The concerts, filled with music for cello and piano, will take place in 3 of the most important places in Laks' life: Warsaw (26.11), Auschwitz (4.11) and Paris (7.11). The project is made possible thanks to a grant from the Ministry of Culture in Poland.
